The Ushers Ministry of St. Genevieve Catholic Church is involved in many activities around the church parish. The main function of the Usher Society is welcoming parishoners and guests to masses, collecting the weekly offertories and the distribution of weekly church bulletins after mass.

The ushers also work special events around the church parish such as the visit of the Relics of the Mother Teresa as well as providing meals for confirmation and first communion retreats. The ushers conduct a yearly po-boy sale for the purchase and upkeep of their blazers and to sponsor special projects around the parish. The 2015 project was the replacement of the southside sidewalk along the church.

The ushers meet once a quarter for a brief meeting and a supper in February, May, August, and November. The ushers honor one of their own in February with the “Usher of the Year” award given to the member for outstanding serve to the parish as well as the Ushers Ministry. We welcome any male parishioners, at least 18 years or older,  to become a member of our ministry.
