Remembering Loved Ones in Prayer

Prayer is one of the most meaningful ways we can remember loved ones, give thanks for God's blessings, and lift up the intentions we carry in our hearts.

At St. Genevieve Catholic Church, parishioners may request a Mass Intention or sponsor the Sanctuary Lamp as an expression of faith, remembrance, and prayer.

MASS INTENTIONS

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the highest form of prayer in the Catholic Church. Having a Mass offered for a particular intention is a longstanding Catholic tradition and a beautiful way to entrust our loved ones and personal intentions to God.

Mass Intentions may be requested for the repose of the soul of someone who has died, for a living person, in thanksgiving, or for another special intention.

To request a Mass Intention, please complete the request process below. Requests are subject to parish scheduling and availability.

SANCTUARY LAMP INTENTIONS

The Sanctuary Lamp burns near the tabernacle as a visible reminder of Christ's Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. At St. Genevieve, parishioners may request a Sanctuary Lamp intention in memory of a loved one or for a special prayer intention. Sponsoring the Sanctuary Lamp is a meaningful way to unite your prayers with the prayer of the parish throughout the designated intention period.

Sanctuary Lamp requests are subject to parish scheduling and availability.
