Youth Confirmation

Strengthened by the Holy Spirit

Confirmation preparation helps young Catholics deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and prepare to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation.


At St. Genevieve, Confirmation preparation is offered to eighth-grade students through the Parish School of Religion.



Candidates participate in in-person formation sessions, prayer, parish activities, and additional preparation requirements throughout the year.

Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation candidates participate in scheduled formation sessions, prayer, and required parish activities throughout the year as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.


Candidates and families are responsible for reviewing the current preparation schedule, attending required sessions and activities, and completing all applicable forms and assignments.


Preparation takes place in person at St. Genevieve, with formation sessions held in Mystical Rose Hall.

Confirmation Sponsor & Saint Name

As part of their preparation, Confirmation candidates choose a sponsor to accompany them in their journey of faith and select a Confirmation saint name. Sponsors serve as witnesses to the Catholic faith, offering prayer, encouragement, and spiritual guidance as candidates prepare to receive the Sacrament.

  • December 13 & 23, 2026 — Church Decorating
  • January 10, 2027
  • February 21, 2027
  • March 25–27, 2027
  • April 18, 2027
  • May 2027 — Confirmation Practice (Date TBD)
  • May 15, 2027 — Confirmation | 10:30 AM

Confirmation Registration

Families preparing a child for Confirmation must complete the parish's PSR registration process.


Registration for the 2026–2027 program is closed. Families interested in preparing for the next program year are encouraged to review the requirements and upcoming registration information.
